Back to school

So school started again (University of applied sciences) and im looking forward few courses. Currently I am sitting in real time programming course but the course im really waiting is embedded systems project and im sure it's going to be very interesting. We might be doing somethin with downhill cars, measuring speeds, times, etc.

Hope i wont be this tired tomorrow than im now. Hard to concentrate to anything.

p.s I might release a new project article soon. It's about connecting 2x16 Lcd display with Arduino. Im also working with 4-zone fire- and  burglaryalarm system.

First look at Arduino

The Arduino Duemilanove is a microcontroller board based on Atmel ATmega 328. It has 14 digital input/output pins and runs on 16mhz clockspeed. I will use it in many future projects which will be presented on this website too.

So I got my Arduino a cuople of days ago and it looked nice. I had to give it first run immediately. Leds started blinking and I could turn onboard LED on and Off from console. It was cool. I didn't yet have mcuh components so couldn't start working with any serious projects.

At work (I work as trainee this summer in my school Kemi-Tornio Univeristy of applied sciences), me and my friends "molokki" and "nobbie" made this small platform for arduino to protect the board. It was a really simple but protects the board nicely.

Arduino with protective platfrom

I Hope I get LCD i ordered soon. That will be my first real project with this lovely little board.
